How can we help young children understand evolutionary concepts (e.g., speciation, common ancestry)

This is a new line of research I am pursuing with Dr. Kelemen at Boston University. We are working to develop a school-based intervention for elementary school children meant to develop their understanding of evolutionary concepts (e.g., speciation, common ancestry).
